App Navigation (Tab Bar More Screen)

The Tab bar and More Screen have a dedicated menu in the Buddyboss app plugin to locate them and navigate to Buddyboss App - Menu.

Tab Bar

The tab bar is the men bar that sits at the bottom of your app screens and provides you with 4 customisable tabs and a more icon which access a second hidden menu.

Please see below Tab Bar Settings;

1. Show labels text below tab icons - you can see from items 2 & 4 in the image an idea of what each option looks like.

2. Tab bar icon with no text.

3. Icon outline or filled - you can see from items 4 & 5 in the image of filled to outlined icon options.

4 & 5. Visuals of tab bar settings options.

6. Tab Bar Visibility - you have 2 options here to show on the tab bar menu which effectively will only show the tab bar at the bottom of the screen for the Buddyboss core pages only. Show on All Screens - this will show on all your screens including web fall backs which makes for a more unified look and gives the impression that web fall backs are actually in app pages.

App Menu Items

Adding links/pages/tabs/custom post links and more are all found in the 1. Add Menu Item select what pages links you desire tick the box and click Add to Menu.

Your selections will get listed in 2. Tab Menu and you can visually see how it will look in our in 3.Visual Mockup panel.

2.Tab Menu - there are a couple of things to note here. As it stands you can add 4 tabs to the tab bar, as you can see from number 3 in the image there are 5 icons and that is because the last tab (tab 5) is fixed for the (more screen menu).

Also to note to reorder the tab bar icons you can drag the items in panel 2. Up or down. The top icon which in this case is the home tab is the first tab that opens when a user open the app. This is by default, and you can change this by using custom development.

Create Multiple Menu

With one of our newest added features of Access Controls comes the ability to create multiple Tab Menus and More Menus for different user Groups on your platform, be it by membership type or role type or profile type and more. If you have had any experience with any membership plugins you will have a good understanding of Groups and how you give a group the rules of who when and how effectively and then you allocate the group to a menu structure.

More Menu

The More Menu is exactly the same as the Tab Menu with the settings and setting up.

NOTE: The only thing to note with the More Menu is when you first access the app menu settings to start setting up for the first time you will not see the More Menu tab.

For the more menu to show up you want to go to the more menu and add at least 1 item in the menu structure and then when you navigate back to your Tab Bar you will see the more menu in the bottom tab bar.
