Why Use Colors in Your BuddyBoss Community?

When it’s time to impress your community members, you must have some concern about color choosing. In BuddyBoss platform, customize your network according to your theme. You can change the color of all of the major elements of the theme. BuddyBoss 2.0 allows you to set a unique color for each profile and group type. Let’s see how to be the magician of colors with BuddyBoss. 


Configure Colors

  1. Go to BuddyBoss - Theme Options - Colors. From here you have all color options for every area of the theme. And in BuddyBoss 2.0 we have restructured the color options to be more intuitive and well-organized. Let’s give a pink color theme in your website. Navigate to Primary Color under General. It is used in multiple elements such as links, icons and counts. Set the color to pink, you can use color codes as well. 



Next change the Background Color, Content Background Color, Content Alternate Background Color, and Content Border Color according to the color theme. You can change other options as well. 



Hit the Save Changes button and refresh your frontend to see how the magic happens. 



Has your site turned into pink or the color shade you have been working on? If yes, then navigate to the Header and BuddyPannel to adjust the theme color. 



Again, hit the Save Changes button and refresh your frontend. Tada! You have changed the BuddyPannel which is on the left and the Header which were white a moment ago. 


 


Well, if you don’t like the color contrast, you can get back to the previous theme. To do so, click on the Default Color Scheme and a pop up will appear to confirm your action. 



  1. Scroll down in the Colors section of BuddyBoss Theme Options and find Labels. You can change the Label Background Color and Label Text. This will change all types of profiles label from here. 



Different color code for multiple profile types is a useful feature of BuddyBoss platform. You can use this by navigating to BuddyBoss - Profiles - Profile Types. Now select any profile type, for example we choose Admin



After that scroll down to find Label Colors. Change the Background Color and Text Color



Before exit click on Update to save the changes you made. 



Like we change the color for Teacher and Coach. Now, refresh the frontend of your website to see the changes. 



  1. Lastly, I will show you the process to give different colors group wise. Navigating to BuddyBoss - Groups - Group Types. Select any group type. 



After that scroll down to find Label Colors. Change the Background Color and Text Color



Don’t forget to click on Update to save the changes you made. 



Let’s refresh the frontend of your website to see the changes.



This is the simplest process to make your community vibrant and easy to navigate for profile and group type finding.
