Why Use Footer in Your Community?

The footer is the bottom area of a page. This is where the user will look once they have finished scrolling through the current page or are looking for additional information about your website. In the BuddyBoss theme, customizing Footer is easier than your imagination. You can simply set up the widgets, layout and details in your footer as your preference. Learn how to do that in this tutorial.

Configure Footer

  1. Navigate to BuddyBoss - Theme Options - Footer. This is where you can customize your website footer. First of all we will turn on the Footer Widget Columns. You can specify the Number of Columns. We are keeping that default 4 and clicking the Save Changes button.

You won’t see any changes on the frontend. Because we don’t write anything in the widget column. Go to Appearance - Widgets, scroll down to check the 4 columns that we have selected before.

To check out the usage we write in 2 columns and Update it.

Refresh the frontend and scroll down to see the changes you made.

  1. Let’s now turn on the Footer Info Section. There are two Footer Style available, select anyone. Then upload Footer Logo with the Upload button.

Here you can adjust the Footer Logo Size and write a Logo Tagline. Under the Left Side Content, write your Copyright Notice. Like the Header Menu you can add Footer Menu at the bottom of your website. Lastly, click the Save Changes button. Remember that, you won’t find the Footer Menu if it’s not created in the Menu section.

To do so, navigate to Appearance - Menus. Click on the Create a New Menu option.

In the next page, type the Menu Name - Footer and select the display location. Then press the Create Menu button.

After the Menu is created it’s time to add menu items. As you can see, we select Connection, Groups, and Courses. First click Add to Menu then Save Menu button.

Under the Right Side Content add your Footer Description. Add the Social Links as well. Don’t forget to click the Save Changes button.

Now, it’s time to refresh the frontend and see the changes in the footer. Our customized footer looks like the image below.

That is how you can configure your BuddyBoss Footer with your preference.
