Why Use Export Data in Your BuddyBoss Platform?

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an important data privacy regulation that websites must comply with, especially if your website is servicing people from countries in the European Union. It requires companies and site owners to be transparent about how they collect, use, and share personal data. 

It also gives individuals more access and choice when it comes to how their own personal data is collected, used, and shared. In this tutorial we will show you how members can request and download a copy of their personal data.

Configure Export Data

Request for Export Data

From your profile drop-down, navigate to Account - Export Data. We are exporting data as Sejal, a member of your website.  

You will redirect to the Export Data page. Here, click on the Request Data Export button.

The user will get an email from your website to confirm the exportation of data. The member must click the link to confirm it. 

After confirming, the site administrator will be notified and the member can go back to the profile again. 

Send Export Link

From the left sidebar of your website backend, go to Tools- Export Personal Data. 

Here, you can send the profile data by clicking on Send Export Link option. 

After successfully send the link, you will get a confirmation like below. 

And the requested member will get another email with download link of his/ her personal data. 

This feature assist the user to get personal data quickly.
