Course Sidebar Widgets

In this tutorial, you will learn how to add widgets to the sidebars on LearnDash courses, including the course homepage, and lessons and topics. The widget areas come from BuddyBoss Theme when using LearnDash LMS.

You must have the LearnDash LMS plugin, installed and activated on your website to use and configure these widgets.

Adding the widgets in LearnDash course sidebar

You can add any widget into the LearnDash Course sidebar to display additional information in the LearnDash course homepage, lessons and topics.

To add a widget to the LearnDash Courses sidebar:

1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.

2. Drag-and-drop the preferred widget in the LearnDash -> Course Sidebar meta box. For example, drag-and-drop the (BB) Latest Activities widget into the LearnDash -> Course Sidebar meta box to display all the latest BuddyBoss Platform activities on all LearnDash courses.
   Similarly, drag-and-drop the preferred widget in the LearnDash -> Lesson Sidebar meta box create a page. For example, drag-and-drop the (BB) Latest Activities widget into the LearnDash -> Lesson Sidebar meta box to display all the latest BuddyBoss Platform activities on all LearnDash lessons and topics.

3. Customize the settings for the widget and then click the Save button.
